The number of Nepalese students ranks fifth largest in Australia


Nepal ranks fifth in the list of countries from where the foreign students are studying at local universities in Australia. Out of 480,092 international students studying at Australian universities, the majority hold Chinese passports followed by India, Malaysia, Vietnam and Nepal.

Together, these five nations are responsible for 54 per cent of the international student cohort in Australia. Thirty per cent hail from China and 11 per cent from India, with Malaysia, Vietnam and Nepal making up the remaining 13 per cent.
