Taipei BBoy City is one of the World BBoys Series events organised every year in Taiwan.

Nepal HipHop Foundation organised the event on Saturday the 6th of July in association with Govinda Education Foundation at Lainchaur.

The Covered Hall at Lainchaur, better known as T.T hall, saw more than 100 participants breaking on the beats dropped by DJ Zexx who flew in all the way from Thailand for the event. BBoy Alex from China, BBoy Shawn from India and BBoy Kaneki from Nepal were the main judges of the event.

Other categories of the biggest Breaking Championship in Nepal included “4 vs 4 breaking”, “1 on 1 B Girls” and “1 on 1 All Style”. Another spectacular category was “1 on 1 All Style Kids”, for which kids as young as 6 years in age competed.

B-Girl Faith won the title of the One-on-One B-Girls Champion while B-Boy Aryan was crowned winner of the One-on-One All Style Kids category, each taking home the cash prize of NRS. 10,000 and a certificate.

One-on-One All Style category attracted the largest number of talents with 41 Allstyle B-Boys and B-Girls fighting for the title as well as the cash prize of Nrs. 20,000 which ultimately was bagged by Mukesh Dhakal.

The Let’s Break crew outclassed 13 other crews to win the “4 vs 4 Breaking Category” defeating the BreakGuruz Crew in the finals, who had travelled all the way from Calcutta to compete in the event.

All the winners received their awards from Mr Bigyan Kandel, the CEO of Govinda Education Foundation and The Marketing Manager for Nepal of Health Careers International, Australia, Mr. Dhiraj Singh.

Besides competitions, the event also featured some cultural performances along with a special dance performed by the students of Nepal Down Syndrome Society.

MC Bijay and B-Girl Jenisha mastered the ceremony attended by some 3000 plus spectators, the largest crowd of a BBoying event ever organised in Nepal.
